Will France tax our disability benefits?

Q: My family and I are considering relocating to France due to the terminal illness of a very close friend and also because we just feel it may be a better fit for us there. I am disabled with MS and my husband is a sevice-disabled gulf war veteran. We both receive disablity benefits (both our children receive benefits as a result of this as well). I cannot find anyone or any place to answer me if France will tax these benefits??? SSA and VA did tell me that upon opening a bank acct in France, we would be paid in Euros. The IRS has been of no help, SSA has no idea, and VA has no idea, and I have spent a fortune calling the American Embassy in Paris. Their tax person never seems to be available. Does anyone know the answer to this? There has to be someone in the world living in France whose income consists of U.S. disablity benefits? Thank you in advance for any info/advice!

A: truth don't come here i live here and i been regretting it ever sense euros has sky high the cost of living , you pay for everything from TV ,phone where you live even if you rent you have to pay home tax's we rent and we owe 650.00 euro for our tax's plus our rent this year for the place we live. hubby french but I'm from Idaho and i turn very sick sense i came to France & they still can not figure out why i have seizures they started two years ago plus france well not help us with any money it more for the non french who come in who get the help from the country, with every thing you and your husband is dealing with France is not the country to move to and i'm sure they would tax your disability benefits ,I live in Nanterre very close to paris . edit: i tell you why i feel it not good for you to come i had a real bad seizure the firemen came took me to the hosiptal they left me on the bed no side up no one watched me to see if i fell or swollowed my tounge but what they did do is yell at me took my blood thinking i was on drugs they never seen anyone have a seizure unless it as due to drugs they would not allow my husband to come back with me so he could not explain why i was having seizures , I do not speak french so it made thing harder i almost punched the nurse due to all she could do was yell at me to stop like i could control what was happening to me .but about 30 min later they let him come in and he told them what they was doing was wrong and they sent for someone who could under stand .
